About the Artist
Larry Austin is a composer, an editor of the avant-garde music magazine Source, and a faculty member of the University of California at Davis.
Larry Austin presents a demonstration lecture, followed by a filmed and taped performance of Brass, (1967), as well as excerpts from Accidents (1967), Bass (1967), and The Magicians (1968). This program is held under the joint sponsorship of the International Society for Contemporary Music and the MCA.
With the launch of this website, the MCA has created a platform for archiving and publishing images and stories from our 50-year history. Though many pages currently lack descriptions or illustrations, we’re committed to a program of ongoing research that will fill in the blanks over time. If you have information about past MCA Stage events, we’d be delighted to hear from you; please email our web team.
