Contemporary sound-based artists transform your MCA experience on select Friday nights with custom soundtracks reflecting their perspective of works on view in the museum. DJ sets and live bands occupy the spaces in the museum and the galleries themselves amplify their sound constructions.

D-Composed is a Chicago-based chamber music experience that highlights musicians and composers within the African diaspora. With intimate, out-of-the-box experiences and a fusion of genres, their goal is to redefine the classical music experience. D-Composed takes music out of the concert halls and into settings like art galleries and cafes. They honor musicianship of the past as well as modern composers and pop cultural icons. Through this platform and process, D-Composed plans to change the entire field of classical music on their own terms.
