About the Event

Artist Autumn Knight invites viewers into her studio to learn more about her practice in this virtual experience moderated by MCA Associate Curator Tara Aisha Willis. Knight is a New York City-based artist who uses performance, installation, video, and text to construct scenarios that probe the relationships at play between people, often using irrationality, humor, discomfort, and uncertainty to make meaning out of our contemporary culture. Tune in to hear what Knight is working on now!

Artist Bio

About the Artist

Autumn Knight is an interdisciplinary artist working with performance, installation, video and text. Her performance work has been on view at various institutions including Krannert Art Museum (University of Illinois at Urbana), The Institute for Contemporary Art (Virginia Commonwealth University), Human Resources Los Angeles, and Akademie der Kunste (Berlin). Her performance and video work is held in the permanent collection of the Studio Museum in Harlem. Knight participated in the 2019 Whitney Biennial as a performance and video artist.
